I’m so excited to share this beautiful airy coastal wedding at Casa di Pietra in Malibu today. This gorgeous private estate with an ocean view - a stone house by the sea - is an absolute gem, designed by renowned Malibu architect Douglas Burdge, that Bettina and Gina discovered in Malibu when they were looking for the perfect venue for their wedding day.

Casa di Pietra looks like a modern Tuscan villa. It is very spacious indoors with an abundance of natural light coming through. Bettina picked a timeless white and green color palette with pops of pale blue, which made its appearance throughout the whole day. Their french bulldog, Lulu, was also a big part of the celebration and was included in all key moments of their wedding day.

Bettina got ready in one of the rooms upstairs, which has all white walls with high ceilings and needless to say, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect space. The room also has a balcony with epic ocean views that I couldn’t not take advantage of for portraits. The wedding ceremony took place on the rooftop with (no surprise here) sweeping views of the ocean. A wild installation arch was the perfect showstopper guests saw as they entered the space. The architecture of the stone house combined with the ghost chairs created an unexpected and unique look that melted the old-world together with a modern vibe. The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour in the same space with specialty cocktails and live jazz duo.

As the sun was starting to set, guests were invited to find their seats at the lower lawn that has its own private beach access. Long farm tables with white vineyard chairs lined up the space with beautiful lush floral arrangements all with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Heartwarming speeches, incredible food and one hell of a party followed - it was truly a night to remember.
