 "When I first met Anya, of Anya Kernes Photography, I felt an immediate connection to her shared love for romance, softness, movement, and natural lighting. We found inspiration after a quick season of rain - much needed in Southern California. Suddenly, there was so much life that came so quickly, nurtured by the rain and the season. We found a beautiful venue (Villa del Sol d'Oro), now completely lush with greenery, blooming buds, and a spattering of delicate wildflowers. It was a breath-taking setting for us to put together our vision - we had a flawless combination of luscious greenery in the garden, beautiful post rain lighting, stone walls and walkways, and gorgeous olive trees.  We were intentional in embracing natural softness and movement using raw linens, mostly foraged greenery used in the bouquet & centerpieces, flowing silk ribbons to put together a shoot that celebrated romance and the the beauty that comes with spring rain in California."

I always love doing engagement sessions at the Pasadena City Hall but these two took it to a whole another level.

Maple and Neal were an absolute dream to photograph and I was so excited to photograph their engagement. They are completely head over heels in love, have the sweetest chemistry together and killer style. What more can you ask for? Their joy and smiles throughout their engagement session was absolutely contagious! Whimsical, soft and romantic - this session has stolen my heart. Get ready for some serious romance - I can hardly wait for their wedding at the Greystone Mansion next fall!

Kristen & Reilly - Romantic Engagement Session in Arlington Garden, CA

For their engagement session, Kristen and Reilly picked the beautiful Arlington Garden in Pasadena. The Pasadena City Hall is usually by far the most popular location to take engagement photos, which makes the Arlington Garden a perfect little gem. It is Pasadena's only public garden, and features an Arroyo Seco pathway and pool, gorgeous Italian style olive alley, and hidden unique corners with stairways, benches and twisty paths - what a dream!

Kristen and Reilly have so much chemistry and passion, and are absolutely head over heels in love with one another! They are such a beautiful couple and it was so fun shooting their engagement session! Wishing you guys a life full of love, joy and cute little puppies! :)

I am so excited to finally share some of my favorite moments from Anthony and Kristal's wedding day! It is absolutely incredible to work with couples who are as in love with each other as these two. Throughout the whole day, they could not keep apart from each other and there were tears of joy everywhere! I was so honored to be a part of the day!

On a rainy Friday afternoon last week, I found myself back in Pasadena City Hall for Elizabeth and David's engagement session. It was pouring all day with no sign of blue skies but nothing was stopping these two! When we started shooting their engagement session, it was still drizzling and then something magical happened - about 30 minutes before sunset, it stopped raining and the sun came out. VANESSA & DANNY - Engagement Session at the Pasadena City Hall & Colorado Street Bridge, CA

This engagement session was a real adventure. We started off slow at the Pasadena City Hall and then headed over to the Colorado Street Bridge where things got a little more interesting. Figuring out how to get next to the bridge by foot was tricky (it took some long distance walking and hiking:) but so worth it! Life is a ride full of little adventures and I love the responsibility of capturing it all for my couples! What a fun engagement session!!
